[Literature Library] Metal exposure and gestational diabetes mellitus

In a prospective cohort study, the associations between urinary metals in early pregnancy and risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) was examined among Chinese women. A positive relationship between nickel and GDM incidence was observed whereas all metals mixed exposure (nickel, arsenic, cadmium, antimony, cobalt, vanadium) was positively associated with the risk of GDM.
