Effects of partially hydrolyzed whey infant formula on the risk of developing atopic dermatitis in infants

This review paper summarized results from eight clinical trials and confirmed that partially hydrolyzed whey-based formula supports normal growth, and potentially reduces the risk of atopic dermatitis in non-exclusively breastfed infants from the general population during the first four to six months of life.

This literature review suggests that the risk of atopic dermatitis may be reduced in not-fully breastfed infants from the general population when supplemented with a specific partially hydrolyzed whey-based formula when compared to cow's milk formula during the first 4-6 months of life.
