A systematic review on the effects of maternal calcium supplementation on offspring’s blood pressure

Four randomized trials and three observational studies were reviewed to elucidate the potential influence of maternal calcium intake by food or supplements on blood pressure in the offspring.
Evidence proposes that maternal calcium (Ca) supplement during pregnancy may be inversely associated with the offspring's blood pressure (BP) level.
