[Literature Library] The importance of maternal diet during pregnancy and lactation

The influences of maternal diet, quality of fatty acid intake in particular, on human milk content was examined in a Chilean study. Authors concluded that it is necessary to raise omega-3 fatty acid intake during pregnancy and lactation through improving the quality of diet with a focus on DHA.
