Abstract

This study investigated the development of functional network connectivity during infancy and childhood, and how they may relate to the emergence and establishment of cognitive abilities. It was found that the amount of functional networks recruited increased with skill complexity and study findings implicate possible contribution of brain network connectivity to higher cognitive development.
