Vitamin D deficiency and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM)

Controversial data on vitamin D and its impact on gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) have been noted. A meta-analysis of 26 studies was performed and found that vitamin D deficiency may raise the risk of gestational diabetes.

Oral immunotherapy using partially hydrolyzed formula for cow’s milk protein allergy (NEW!)

This randomized controlled trial found that oral immunotherapy with hydrolyzed cow’s milk protein-based formula (pHF) may safely enhance tolerance to cow’s milk in children with cow’s milk allergy (CMPA), suggesting it may be a potential therapeutic strategy for this group.
