Maternal vitamin D status, infant neurodevelopment and anthropometry

A prospective observation study in China demonstrated an association between maternal serum vitamin D level during pregnancy and infant neurodevelopment and anthropometry. Maternal vitamin D levels less than 50 nmol/L were related to a higher tendency for low Bayley mental score and Bayley motor score.

Oral immunotherapy using partially hydrolyzed formula for cow’s milk protein allergy (NEW!)

This randomized controlled trial found that oral immunotherapy with hydrolyzed cow’s milk protein-based formula (pHF) may safely enhance tolerance to cow’s milk in children with cow’s milk allergy (CMPA), suggesting it may be a potential therapeutic strategy for this group.
